Type C-Port iPhone at Auction for One Million Dollars
What is the maximum price of a phone? One-and-a-half
thousand dollars? This is usually the price of the flagship iPhone in the
market. But this time, the price of a used iPhone has risen to close to one
million dollars!
The Lightning port is the charging port on the iPhone.
While all other brands use USB Type-C ports, the iPhone remains in the old
Lightning port. Which isn't extremely helpful for regular use.
Annoyed by the lack of a USB Type-C port in this lightning
port, a Swiss robotics engineer named Kenny Pilonell has technically created
the world's first iPhone with a USB Type-C port.
Instead of the lightning port of an iPhone 10, he has
installed a Type-C port there. Charging and data transfer - both are done
through this port.
Why, Pilonell recently released a video on YouTube about how
he completed the whole process. As the world's first iPhone with a USB Type-C
port, it has caused quite a stir. The phone is in the eyes of rare collectors.
Kenny Pilonell later put the phone up for auction on eBay.
The auction will end on November 11. The latest call in the auction, which
started from just one dollar, 90 thousand 100 US dollars!
Kenny claims that he created it as a 'prototype'. The
condition is that the buyer cannot open, restore or update this phone. It
cannot be used as a primary device for everyday use.
